For those who are not familiar with my home town, the main drag is High Street or "Hi-Street" as we Millbillies say. The show, 20th this year, is on High Street between Broad and Main (Rt 49). This area covers 6 blocks. The cars in the show are lined up diagonally on both sides of High. Also each side street, north and south of High, is used to line cars. The types of cars range from Muscle Cars to Street Rods to various foreign cars to rare classics and antiques. It would be nice to see the club represented. If members are interested, I Can organize a meeting place and time. Any one interested? Remember this is the same day as the Delsea Drive Cruise!
Cheers,
Bob

Ive only been to Delsea drive in once and I dont know the area very well. Does anyone have a suggestion for a local meeting place that could fit our cars (probably 8-10) ?
-
We could meet at Scotland Run Park and go from there anyone that lives down that way could join us just before we get to the Drive In

The Drive-In is located on S. Delsea Drive, Vineland. Local map of Vineland. http://local.mapquest.com/

If I wasn't going to be away on that day I would do the Milliville show and the Drive Inn. I only heard good things about the show and always wanted to attend.
It's nice to see the town come back.

Yes Joe, The car show gets bigger each year. Downtown Millville has come back a long way. We have many shops, various types of eateries and nice night spots for the younger crowd which include live music. The shops vary from many specialized gift type to general sales to artisan hand made items. The downtown shopping area was not a nice place 15 years ago, but now it is great, especially on 3rd Fridays. That is when all the shops are open, street venders set up, live music and special entertainment takes place at the Plaza. We even have a shuttle Tram/Bus to take people around to various spots! 3rd Fridays are usually packed with people up and down High Street. I think the Race Track has helped the local businesses, especially hotels and eateries. More hotels are being built. We even have a very nice Shopping Mall now, Cumberland Crossings!

Oh crap for a minute there at the meeting I thought I was back in in Viet Nam, following orders of where I can go, what I can do. Well I just realized that I am Stateside now and can do what ever I wish. So I think I will just be going to the show and will certainly not be going to the drive in.

Hey, I'm up for this show (http://www.jonrb.com/emoticons/driving.gif) even if it's just me Jim & Herbie. As long as Herbie does'nt mind parking next to the Rat (http://www.jonrb.com/emoticons/rotate.gif)

Mark,

I don't remember anyone saying you couldn't go to the show, or maybe I wasn't paying attention.
What I remember being said was, Because we do the DriveIn every year and a lot of cars from the show would be at the drive in we would do the the Drive In only because who would want to sit at a show all day then go to the drive in, it would be to much.
Anyone can do the show or the drive in or both or none. My Wife and I will do the drive in, it's always a fun cruise.

Jack,
Thanks for chiming in. I didn't mean to cause a fuss! Anyone is welcome to come to the show and go to the Drive-in after. I know for me it is no big deal to attend both because both places are close to my house. Maybe some members would like to come to the show in the afternoon just to see what it is all about. The show ends at three. Most people stay all day. Awards are presented around 3PM. I hope to meet more of the members at the drive-in!
Thanks again,
Bob
