Ocean City, MD Cruise Week
« on: March 30, 2017, 09:26:24 am »

May 18-21
Is anyone interested in going down to Ocean City, MD for their cruise week?

We've gone twice for  their spring cruise and got a hotel, and once for the fall cruise, but drove down Saturday morning and left that night.

For anyone who has never been down there there is an actual structured car show at the end of the boardwalk, but we usually just cruise up and down or park somewhere and watch others cruise up and down. It's sort of like the entire island turns into the 70's, and every parkinglot becomes it's own unofficial free car show. Probably like 90% of the cars driving on the island Saturday will be pre-1975.
We were thinking about going down for either the day or maybe finding a place to camp and spend the weekend.
We were the only bus at the last one.

There is a few really good places to eat down there too!

I think we are going to cruise down Saturday morning and spend most of the day down there just hanging out and eating and watching the cars cruise by, and probably do some cruising ourselves.

At the last one we went down, cruised up and down a few times, got some food, and found a good parking spot to eat and watch the cars go by, and left when it got dark.
We'll probably do something similar again this time too, but probably leave earlier.

We thought about camping, just because there's so much great food down there, we can't possibly eat it all in one day.
But I think we want to go home and try to make the Bivalve Cruise on Sunday.
