Well, as Jack said, the Christmas party was a bit smaller, but in a way, that was good too! Always amazing to see the amount of work that goes into it, from Joe's wife making/ setting up all of the table decorations - (THANK YOU! It really made the atmosphere more "Christmasy" feeling) to Shawn and Joe being great MC's, Michelle's ever challenging quizzes, gifts, surprises, freinds, and good food! What could anyone more ask for!
MY CONFESSION , I AM the person who had ticket #.....588 - the story behind that was the early frantic-ness of coming into the party; buying the prize tickets, going to the gift table, and trying to look at all of the gift and prize choices one has to make, all the while knowing Jack was missing me horribly a the dining table, so in my mad rush to get back to him, I got a little confused, the ticket I was first looking down at said "KEEP THIS TICKET" well, .... what I did was to keep it in one of the prize bags, did that with another ticket, and put their corresponding tickets in yet other bags... OOOPs! I see my mistake... Well, what can I say? I need MUCH better directions than just to "KEEP THIS TICKET" all very confusing!!
Shawn called the ticket #, (# was consecutive with the remaining "KEEP THIS TICKET" stubs I had) - and what was I going to do?? Stand up in front of everyone and say it was mine without proof, which would force me to voice my mistake to everyone - ESPECIALLY to certain individuals in the club??! HEY, I may be stupid, but I'm not an idiot!!
I just waited for the redraw of another ticket, so someone else could get what I so desperately wanted... yet another sacrifice I made to the club - sigh...
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR ONCE AGAIN HELPING MAKE THE CLUB'S PARTY SUCH A GREAT TIME!!!
Merry Christmas everyone!!
