Francey Burke called me and wants to know how many are going???
Without a cruise director or an active events chair to talk up the show or to plan a cruise to the show like in past yrs. this show is doomed as other ones in the future will be.
It's time for some new blood to step up and be an active member.

Well Jack ask any of the people that have done these jobs. Who the f?k would want to do the job that everybody bitches about?

Ok, sounds good!

She sent me an email, ?

"Can?t wait to see you and the Volkswagen club members!
Already have an extra gift for VW Club members in hand.

PS you may want to tell people that I changed the awards process and we will have Judges from the local Coast Guard base and they will be selecting top 10 cars in any category for awards.
So that is good news for clubs like yours since everyone will have an equal chance and it won?t be judged by one car from every time period.
Thanks again!"

Francey Burke called me this morning to confirm my registration for tomorrows show.
During our conversation she mentioned she has 15 VWs registered to attend!
She would like to be able to video us all cruising in together and she would do it if we could give her a heads up of our arrival. She suggested we all collect at her brothers law office next door or at the High School which is close by.
She would like us there by 9am
How do we coordinate this with all VWs coming? Are we able to video too?
She really is looking forward to SJVWC attending her show!

 -EVENT=

Dave..  I have also been chatting with Francey..

Yes she has 15 of us registered but I know that one has drooped out so 14 unless someone else pops up?

The agreed upon arrival time is still 10am and Francey siad that was fine, although we will try to be there a little earlier..

Francey asked if I could text her once we depart our last meetup location Wawa in Dennisville..
I advised her that once we depart that location we should only be about 20 mins away. She's Happy with that.

Jack agreed to video on our way into Burkes and Francey and crew will have the Camera's rolling as we approach and pull into Burkes.

Also many may not be aware of this but Burkes Built A NEW VW Show Room so she's looking for us to help with the Grand Opening which is the day of the Show.. WoW how cool is that?

So everythings in place for a good Cruise and a Great Opening Day at Burkes.. Newly Built VW Showroom.   Flag*

Lastly for anyone not sure of meeting locations..

1St Meetup
the Super Wawa at the end of Rout 55 on 347 / 47..
Departing that location approx 8:45AM if not Sooner
Look for Jack or one of the 3 Herbies.. Anthony H.. Norman and Paula, not sure who else is meeting there?

2nd Meetup approx 9:00 if not Sooner
the small Wawa on 47 in Dennisville
Actually we won't be meeting at Wawa but on the South Bound side of Route 47 across from Wawa which is on the North Side..
Please don't go across the street to the Wawa or your going to Piss JACK off.. Because as soon as they come up on that location we'll rolling out...

 Lastly Fuel Up...  \Muggy

Another Great Event we all had a great time, and as usual the Burke family over did the Event.. Franchie is the Best..
Unfortunately the new VW Show room wasn't fully completed, had some building delays. But it will be soon.
I mentioned to Franchie that maybe we can pull together another Cruise to bring some old school VW's her way so they can get some photos of the Old and the New infront of the New  VW show room. Farnchie Liked the idea so I told her I'd let her know perhaps one day in fall.

Sorry that our club cars got busted up and separated and we couldn't stay together as a group, this never Happened before but Traffic was extremely heavy and we left 2 cars behind.. One was Jack who had promised Franchie a Video of our Club cruising into the event together so needless to say we kind of let Franchie down.. If we'll invited back again next year perhaps we can get a better handle on this.

Ohoo and I almost forgot to mention that our Very own Bob Herbie WoW an award.. Yeaaaa way to go Bob.. afrobanana\

 Great job Bob!!! Congrats!

Dang! we arrived early form PA, but not early enough I guess!... was hoping to give Marilyn a VW cruise experience as she hardly comes out to these kinds of things.. she would have gotten a kick out of it....nothing like being in a chain of VW's down the road..

Was a great show! - Was great to see everyone.
