Operation Mend - Some GREAT Stuff!

Everybody,

I thought I'd share some good stuff with everybody about "Operation Mend" and the results of the "Wounded Warriors" T-shirt sale.

Yesterday I received the letter below ( if you can't read it please excuse my crappy scan! ) from Dr. Timothy Miller who is the chief of the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, at the UCLA School of Medicine.

Dr Miller sent us a BIG thanks for our efforts and the $521.00 gift the T-shirt sales provided for the Operation Mend donation. He goes on to mention a "Special thanks" to our very own Jack Kessel! Hey we knew Jack was special! but again hats off to him for thinking about this one and helping the club get involved with this very important charity!  :icon_cheers: :icon_cheers: :icon_cheers: :icon_cheers:

Dr Miller also sent us about a dozen brochures which I will bring to the next meeting as well as his letter.

Its great to see the results of the clubs efforts and also have those efforts reconized. You guys need a big  :icon_thumright: :icon_thumleft: for this one!

Keep in mind we are still selling shirts and have the second run finished and in Jacks hands. Every shirt sold will provide funds for this group and goes directly to help out the guys & girls who choose to put their life on the line defending this country.

Its not about politics or wars, but just helping those folks who choose to do "the job"!

If you can think of somebody who isn't in the club and would like a shirt then let him or her know about it! or just buy it and give it to em! hey they make great birthday & Christmas gifts! but seriously every shirt sold will eventally allow you guys, the members of this club to help out a returning GI who is in serious medical need and might have trouble getting the kind of quality care the UCLA Medical Group can provide!  

You guys deserve a BIG >  Ghug so here it is! Please keep up the good work!
