In a few years the car will be complete, good as new

it'll take that long to get the tar off!

Hey Matt-
I grew up in that hick town: Turnersville. My folks are still in my childhood home ... in hick-ville. Let me know if I can be of any help with the local customs and the dialect.

Hick speak is tough to master!
I would hate for you to offend my people.

Congrats on the "new to you" ride!

Yea, thanks all, I'm really looking forward to doing it as I said.

Shawn, Seems like the best way to get the tar off is torch heating  fig2  ( sometimes burning) & scarping it off.  You'll know when I'm working on that part of the project, if you look over and see Pa in a thick overcast of black soot...

Bob, you're right about the investment part, I'm hoping it wont take too long. Need the 2 rare items to really move the project along...time and money.

Thanks Mike, I'll give you a call if I need local cutoms help.  Actually I like NJ a lot, My wife and I would have moved there intially, but those darn taxes kept us away!....

 And a project!
