The Eyes Don't Have It.

  My original intent was to produce Scowling eyes on the hood of Old Blue (my 59 VW Beetle). After several attempts at various looks and I was never happy with any of them,  I finally did away with them altogether.  I fine sanded out the residue and bottom of the flames. Reshot the blue (you can do that with lacquer. Added bolt on louvers and restriped the flames. A finall shooting it over with clear lacquer and I'm  happy with the new look.
