May Calender Events

Ok, so I know some of the Bus and Camper Members are planning to attend Granny Gross. But, there are finally some events in my neck of the woods! I am planning to attend the first annual Millville Senior High School Car Show. on May 19th. I also would like to go to the Vineland Drive-In? More info is needed for this event. The proceeds from the MSHS Car Show are going to support the PTA Project Graduation and the Auto Technology Program. Many of you know that I taught in that program for 26 years. The person hired to replace me is Rick Van Arsdale. Rick is a SJVWC member Monkeybars who has been in charge of other car shows. I know from talking to to both instructors at MSHS that they are expecting a nice turnout. They are planning on Car Dealers from the area as well as venders and car owners. It would be nice to see SJVWC represented at this show. Let me know if anyone has questions or needs directions or would like to meet up in order to attend. The pre registration fee is $10 till May 5. Day of fee is $15

Because I'm going to GGB's I can't attend bu it would be nice to have members support Rick as he

was a charter member of SJVWC and use to go to many events with us.

I also  am looking forward to the Delsea Drive-In cruise, it's always been a fun cruise.

My town starts their monthly cruise nights on May 10th, and are held the second Thursday of the month ~weather permitting~ through September  .  In August I believe,  there is going to be a show with trophies (nice ones..I ought to know, they've been in my bedroom closet!  #@rofl3)  which will be a first for this town. Our car wash is giving the trophies/sponsoring,  because we told the person in charge they'd get more people if there's a possibility of trophies.  An entrance fee has been discussed, but I don't believe the number has been decided upon.    Just an FYI.

New Egypt NJ Cruz Nights on Main Street.  Second Thursday of the month (weather permitting) beginning May 10th , through September,  6pm -9pm.   Food, music, and  Rain dates are normally on Friday. For May 10th event is Friday May 11th.   Vehicles of all types, late model to vintage.

I may not have Sophia for this cruise,  and if that's the case I'll take another car.  Either way I'll be there.  If anyone is going, I'd suggest you be there no later than 5:45pm to claim your space, because the police close off the street at 6pm.

Gotcha.  The ice cream cruise is that night too, so I wasn't expecting anyone.
