added fresh oil. still unable to figure out valve noise....

You gotta take some of that crap off of there. The cooling fins aren't getting any air!

LOL, I wish that this motor was as simple as my bug...  Then again my bug isn't putting out 425HP at the crank and 350 at all 4 wheels...

The swivel foot adjusting screws didn't go well, back to stock. Got my emer. brake cable today so after dinner I'll put that in and the gas sender seal.

Well I ripped the whole interior apart to move the Raido Hideaway Unit, so I can put a Reverse Camera and movie  projector In. Found out I need 3 more feet of cable hopefully I will get the ext. cable before Bug and Buses on the Bay

It looks a little narrow right now, but there's other accessories scheduled for installation that will fill up the bars

accessories  are good, i love accessories plus they are fun to buy. sure would look good with one of dem kool sun shades like jay has. accessories  accessories!!!!

I can't Modify the post so I quoted it.

Got big box o' parts #1 for dad's bug.

New muffler was in there so I prepped it and gave it 4 good coats of high temp exhaust paint so it doesnt rust away as quick as the old one.  Pulled the necessary tins to access the old muffler and cleaned and painted them as long as I was at it.

Tonite I'll start pulling the old muffler and prepping for the swap.

Still on the "to do" list before he takes it
New fuel lines
New brake soft lines (precautionary measure)
Tune up and oil change

He was up over the weekend to check it out.  We took it out for a few good drives and it's rather solid and tight.  Looks like we got a good'un

solids, I made a lil' video. I tried to shorten it but no luck. the noise is in about 1:10.
