One side of my Bus "Sweet Peas"  had some bondo on it.  I knew it was thick because it was cracking......  -eyescan.=
Here is a picture of how thick it was!  /help.gif.,/

After cutting it all out. X$Darth We found out how the PO fixed it.

Yes Thats 2X4's & Wood Screws ....They took out the org. bracing.

Going to fix it with square tubing and new sheet metal.

_T3#+ We were also thinking Lexan Window or Fishtank would be cool.  =bananachaplin+=

BIG project!
I went to see it today and the rust was more than "not that bad" it also had some small things missing.
The one thing argyle has going for it is it was from the left coast.
And baha, I got the bus running currently, but need to adjust the F.I.

Over the weekend we went to the Buses By the Bridge event at
Lake Havasu City, Arizona.  About 250 buses & VWs showed up
for the event.  The group from Yuma left at 8:30 am on Friday for
the 3 1/2 hour trip to Lake Havasu.  We started out with just 3,
but kept gaining more and more people as the trip progressed.
Had a great time, we pulled our Bug with the motor home and
camped out on the parking lot.  The buses and tents got to camp
on the grass area.  Everybody had a really good time, i won a large
chrome VW front bus emblem and a T-shirt at the raffle, now i
need a bus to go with the emblem.  The raffle on Sat night started
at 7:30 pm and ended about 10 pm, lots of VW stuff.  At 10:30 am
on Sun they raffled off a tranny, a complete engine, a slot machine,
and more VW stuff.  We all packed up about noon for the trip home.

Today we are recouping   Q3surrende >.woot>
