Chris, how did you get the tape job so good on your hood, come and do mine. whistleegi please.

clap2-*  Thanks Jack.  You have to use the cheap white tape and rush because it's going to rain!  lol.
I just run the tape across the hard radius corners and use a straight razor blade to cut the tape to the radius.  I wish I had a garage to play in I love to paint things.

a flywheel is referred to 180 & 200mm because its the size of the clutch not the flywheel.

Installed the tire bracket on the front I don't have to cuddle with the tire at night. Still need to put the artwork on the tire cover! SJVWCC  whistleegi

Found out that the Split trany was indexed for the 180mm flywheel only. @%soapbox
I had a hell of a time trying to get the motor in by Myself.
So I grabbed a Drill and 3" x 2" drum sander and went to town.

I prob. took off 1/16 or more at the bolt holes and at the starter.

Found out that when you hit a steel bolt that causes a spark the trany shavings will flash.
INSTANT fire starter.
@campfiresmiley Water didn't help the problem and I wasn't about to use the air gun untill it was out!  1!bomb

I did a very stupid thing by Hammering a 1 1/8 scoket on the crank bolt it was the only thing I had that was Close.

All that is left is the horn and some fuel line and hooking up the voltreg and coil.

Cheers

clap2-* Installed a new Empi shifter in the bug.   Like a new car.  No guessing which gear I'm in.  I can actually downshift now.

FYI... Glen had the motor out of his Buggy faster than I installed the new shifter!
