Yea, too busy - survived another layoff at work, 1 out of every 8 person was let go - very stressful. All work came to a halt until "They" decided who should go. Now work started back up and was buried for quite a while...
I'm sure those seat tracks are not the same as a SB - what a pain they are with the little glider pieces - what kind of design was that ?/banghea?/. Maybe for a short fix, look under the seat, see what seat metal slides on the track and lightly lube the all the exposed rail surfaces you can get to, lift up the release lever ( and assuming it stays up) sit in the back seat, put your feet on the bottom of the front seat rails and push left then right then repeat. DO NOT PUSH THE SEAT UP TO FAR as you will next be sitting in it!. So once you moved the seat get to the front and sit in it, put your clean feet against the front floor and push backwards. Repeat once or twice.
Or if you even want to skimp on that, first time in the back seat just push the seat up far enough that is good for you.
DO NOT forget to put the seat engagement lever back down!
Best way is what Jack said tho..........
( I think on my 71 there was plastic covers over the seat rails... not sure when they fazed them in or out.........
