Worked a bit on the bus.

Tested some electrical stuff:

Headlight and parking lights work, hazards work, left turn signal, but no right, and no brake lights, or dash lights.

Yucel and I started it up, and verified that I have no compression on cylinder 1.

So pulling the motor is a must.

I bought 5 gls gas hoping to start the trike. No such luck. I must have hit the turn signal switch the last time I was in the garage.  :confused04:; The battery is dead. #banghead  I'm trying to get the seat off so I can charge the battery. Does anybody know how long it should take to trickle charge a battery. I keep the trike in Howell, NJ I don't want to leave it running without me being there.

It's almost 2 years since I rode it. Hope it will start. I would like to ride it before cold weather sets in.

  In my case I found that it takes about two days ( @ 2 1/2 amp ) for a battery that will not tun over at all. Of course you battery may be totally DOA.

We have a Saleen sitting in our garage that has the same problem. Will kill a brand new battery in a very short amount of time.  Found it has a parasitic drain from the stereo,  and if the drain has gone on too long we can't recharge the battery and end up getting a new one.  Have a trickle charger attached to it now, and it seems to be working well.  Plus it's saving us a ton in battery cost  *bills)

I charged the battery today, then tried to start it. cranks reel good, but it will not start. I have gas in the filter, not much, but it's got gas. I can't see if I have a spark. I'm going up to the garage again tomorrow. I want to see if the gas is getting to the carb.

One of the biggist problem is the wheelchair gets in the way. #banghead

I filled the tank today. Tried starting the trike. No luck. I cranked it to pump gas to the carb. I have a glass fuel filter. No gas in the filter.  #banghead Does anybody have any ideas. Should I replace the pump. I changed from a generator to an alternator, but I'm still using the old style pump.  :confused04:;

It's almost 2 1/2 years since I rode the trike. I sure would like to ride it one time before it gets to cold.

My buddy Jack came over and helped me discover the problem with the idiot lights on the Super.

It seems the PO  whistleegi hooked a ground wire to the cluster bulb housing. It's supposed to be a hot wire.

Thanks Buddy!  =+grouphu9
