Breakfast with the Beetles
« on: April 03, 2011, 04:15:16 pm »

**^bana0 Really good to see everyone today, we had quite a showing, 22 members showed up and we packed the porch at the Water Front Cafe. =+grouphu9

Matt just couldn't stand being away from us and had Ted drive him over, he wouldn't pay for my breakfast thou. :confused04:;

After Breakfast we went to Bridgeton to see Gary's Formula Vee, had a good time.

I think you guys may have talked JoAnn into going to GGB's. She never said anything about going before, right now I think its 50/50 right now.

After a breakfast fit for a sea captain we went to Gary's to see his Formula Vee Racer. What a cool car. I want it!!!! So I can hang it on my garage wall  #@rofl3

I knew this race car reminded me of something, Dan Gurney Porsche from early 60's

Was a thrill to sit in that rig would have loved to actually drive it

Cool video Glenn. The effects remind me of being at the Saturday Matinee when I was a wee little kid in the '50s!

Great vid Glenn, some good shots of the countryside along the route.

553 is one of the few roads anymore where you can have a cruise without tons of traffic, except for crazy motorcycle riders that zoom by you at 100mph and scare the chit out of you.

Hey, it was great to be there! yea, if Ted didnt drive, I dont know if I would have gone for it, but always,  - always glad to see everyone again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  2@@cool

 - Ted said he had a really good time,  - he keeps talking about it...

Yeah, what a surprise to see Pat! Good to see that guy gets out with the group still! - havent had lunch with that guy since the very first time I met the club, during a De show -6 years ago! Whoa!

Yup, -  first time to meet everyone. -  Even then Jack tried to get me to pay for his lunch! byeby.,

But he was such a nice guy, fixed my semaphores and everything out in the parking lot,   - thought then,  - if everyone is this nice, must be a great club!
Right then and there I paid Jack the $150.00 "initial club joining fee", and from there, the rest is history..!!!!!! :jump4jo":  :jump4jo":  :jump4jo":

AND was  a nice treat to see the racer, pretty cool.........

Michelle and I are in the red zone!  whooo hooo  **^bana0    2@@cool        - uh, what does that mean?

Good to see everyone!
