Title: Snow Blower
Post by: lovebus (jack) on January 26, 2015, 11:27:00 am
Getting ready for the storm, gassed everything up this morning (cars) and snow blower. The dam electric start won't work but it started with just a few pulls and I was happy with that but I'm not happy with the though of using it.

Filled up extra water Jugs in case power goes out and made sure had batteries for flashlight, now just sit back and hope we don't get clobbered. :undecided:

We'll see how bad it is,.... so far not as intense as what I was led to believe.
My snow blower is waiting.......

Gassed up my snow blower yesterday.
Two pulls and it was running great.
Best insurance for not having to use it -- too much!
Cancelled hours for tomorrow, now looks like it may not be nearly as bad as they predicted. Oh well.

Thats always my thought (Wish) Rich get the snow  blower all ready and and it wont snow. When I first got it I didn't need it for two years.

I'm keeping track of the words the weather and news folks use:

Mega-storm
paralyzing
crippling
monstrous
historic
catastrophic

and the stuff they use to track

StormTracker 6
Mega Doppler with enhanced view
SkyWatch

Too funny!!!!

Next I'll keep track of all the commercials in jeeps and 4wd's happily driving through snow drifts...

It's the same thing every year. Gotta pump up the "disaster" or ratings suffer.
Have to be careful how far you push the line though... anyone remember John Bolaris??

Id like to thank you guys for preparing...You wrecked my day off with your preparedness!

Dont you know you must keep your equipment in disrepair in order for the forecasts to be correct?

I would like to thank my fellow Snow Warriors for all the preparation you did to combat the Storm. We are "Stronger Then The Storm" making it bow to our wishes. I don't think we got an inch of snow and even tho it is still snowing it wont add much to the total.
GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!

Shawn, I'm taking the day off anyway
......

Good thing I had a broom to deal with this storm of the century.

Looks like I'm having French Toast for dinner all this week for all this milk, bread, and eggs we stockpiled for this calamity

LOL
