Just Checked with Belleplain Campground.
We have Blacked out a Total of 17 Sites located in the Center of the CCC Section.
As of today, We have approx. 8-9 Sites Reserved by members and Guess.
*** Belleplain management and staff, have decided to ride on our popular Jenn's Halloween Campout Theme, and have advertised a Family Halloween Campout event for all of the CCC Sections. More details to come.
Note the Blacked out Sites that are currently saved, for SJVWC members will be unlocked shortly and open to the public.
So if your thinking of attending this wonderful event book soon to reserve one of the preferred sites.

I spoke with Belleplain this week and here is what I know is our latest campsite update..
NOTE... Bellepain State Park has decided to ride on our Jenny Halloween theme and advertised locally of a Family Halloween Theme camping event weekend and that the entire CCC section will be offered to families. Tricker Treating between Campsites, and Awards will be given to Best Campsite Decoration by NJ State Forest Rangers / Staff..
Also.. Please NOTE apparently there have been a problem with stealth campers .... Belleplain Staff will be Policing the Sties to be sure all Campers are registered and PAID in full or Summons will be issued.. Please don't mess this up..
So-ooooo If you haven't reserved a site and your planning on attending better get one of the open one's now before they are needed by the facility and released to the general public..
Also See Campsite Map Attached.. The sites circled are the one's locked and reserved for SJVWC members and Guess Only.
SJVW Campsites and Numbers Reserved, and Open.

I miss this every year. =-(
I'm going to try switching my schedule to every other Sunday instead of every other Saturday. Hopefully it'll may both my band and SJVWC life easier.
Are you doing the diner for breakfast? If so what time?
-
Looks like it's gonna be 60" during the day and 40' at night... WAY BETTER than last year!! We'll still need a big fire so if anyone has old furniture they need to burn....
We're looking forward to it!!! cAMPER^
As for breakfast at the diner... I think it's a great idea! :download:
What time works for everyone... 10am??

^banana= Glad you guys can make it.

Food:
Friday we just grab something from Wawa on the way
Saturday breakfast I will fire up the Dutch oven for "Mountain Man Breakfast" which has sausage, bacon red and green peppers hash browns and eggs all baked together. It will feed a small army so if it sounds good... Bring a plate
Saturday at 4 is Potluck dinner. Bring a covered dish, side or desert and join us. This is always a treat! Don't try and feed an army! There's so much variety that you just "sample" each of the dishes, so a normal sized recipe is usually enough
-
Saturday Dinner:
Tracy and I are doing "Aroz con Gandules y Habichuelas
AKA Spanish Rice with Pigeon Peas. And a side of beans"
Whatcha bringing??????
-
Trying to decide if we will bring the chili-mac that we have done before or something different.
Also have two 6' pallets waiting to be cut up and incinerated. devil)-
One minor wrinkle is that Geoffrey has a robotics event in Dover (yes... 2 hour drive from Belleplain) but we should be back around 4.

Bringing Peach Cobbler for dessert.
-
Will go to breakfast if parking isn't to full because I'll ha ve the trailer.
-
Just a FYI to let all know that Belleplain State Forest has released any camp sites not spoken for by SJVWC members.
So, if you haven't gotten your site and were planning on attending you would probably have to go through the normal Reserve America web site. Hopefully there might still be a site near us available. Or you could attempt to still try to contact the facility ASAP and perhaps Megan could assist you..
Other Info..
Shawn and I spoke this morning and the plans are as follows..
Friday Evening "for Those attending" is fed for yourselves ..
aprox 9am Saturday Morning Shawn / Tracy will have a monster Pot Luck Breakfast.. Bring your forks and plates, or any food donations

Carol and I will be coming down Saturday afternoon for the pot luck and after dinner festivities. It's time we got a 'taste' of this camping thing you all love so much!!
We'll be bringing "Super Baked Bean Crock Pot" -- ground beef, bacon, onion, three kinds of beans in a brown sugar BBQ sauce.
Will there be a plug in for the crock pot or should we bring a camp stove?
