So today at work, one of my customers came in, was irritable at one time but we worked things came in. He looked like he was in a bad mood, after getting denied the job at toyota I thought man... what a night. Anyhoo, he's like come outside so I follow him, *he mentioned to me once before that he and his son were hardcore VW owners at one time. So I went outside hoping to see a 1776 Turnkey with a 110 Cam and duel Brosal carbs or a late model bus that of course I would give to jack. But instead he hands me a box of gastets bushings etc which was cool. Then he's like wait there's more, so I keep looking around for the bus or the motor and I still can't find it, and he opens up the trunk and I'm like... what the @ is that. I don't say that and I'm like ohh coollll which is usually my responce to things that I don't know what they are, and he's like it's gas heater. So I gave him a rent one get one free coupon.
I'll post pics sometime this week, and I'll bring it to the DQ, I have a double tomorrow in Somers Point :icon_puke_l: :icon_puke_l:
where all the customers m-d about 1.06 late fees as the drive&& up in their BMW's Audis and Mercedes.
Sorry for the rant, had a bad day. Even the cheese steak from wawa didn't help.
Here's what I'm waiting for in the mail to brighten up my week,,, hopefully
1 can of touch up paint
Rear speaker lugage cover or whatever
Kick panel with speakers cut outs
1 Trunk lock... someone at wawa thought it would be a good idea to check out what I got... I'm like yeah... it's a stock 1600
and he slammed my lid which I think is one of the rudest things someone could do when checking out car.
1 pentronix kit
And yes... I did get my tax refund check last numbers are 8027 if you are waiting for yours it's going in social order.
I'll stop ranting now =-)
Thanks for reading... hopefully.
See you at the DQ.

I went on the Samba, and the heaters I've looked at look nothing like this!!!!
I think it looks like a Cat Converter I know they arn't on old vws.
Contents of the box I receved some stuff I can actually use!!!
Heater cable clamps
Washer Hose cap to spare
1 Oil Change Kit
Clips for installing trim which I'll need when I repaint around Sept Oct
Clutch and Brake petal pads
Clutch X arm or something like that
BO** Guess the day wasn't so crappy after all.
Lemme know if you know what the heck that thing that I thought was a heater.
Can you get a larger picture of that label?
Yeah I'll try to take it w/o flash see if I can get a better shot too.
Just a crazy guess but..
some kind of bus heater ??
That thing dosn't look like any of the Gas Burning VW Heaters that I've seen. I use to have one in both of my campers and trust me when I say that it dosen't look anything like the 70's Bus heaters like I've seen or had.
I think Bob is on the right track a Bus Heater but not from a Air Cooled VDub Probably from a water cooled Westy. Does it have a small pipe/tube big enough to sick your finger into? I think it's a water heater that the engine water passes throught to heat the air that is forced passed through to provide warm air heat and defrosters. s#r
Jay I give up s3 what the hell is it then? fig2
Guys here is what the label says
How is your German?
Heizgerat typ BA 6
Ausfuhrung 20 13 05 * I was thinking this was a date, but it couldn't have been from 1920 or 1913 =-/
Fabrik NR S0934 Fabricated maybe?
Prufzeichen S-94
Brennsteff Benzin
Elektr. Werte thats easy 30W 12V
Heiziezieistrung 6000
Betriebsdruck
Erste Inbe- Triebnighme
Or something like that, I'm bringing it to the DQ maybe we can toss it and see how far it goes!!!
*If it's not worth anything.* :D
Bugaru is probably right about the late model westy

Ok, another stumpper. But one thing of interest on the label that jumps out is the electrical In english it would be 12 Volts at 30Watts. So maybe it's an inline Electrical heater, but that would also mean that the engine would have one hell of an alternator to produce that wattage output along with the additional power needed to run the other electrical requirements, headlights, spark, wippers, etc, etc. c23
Translation ....
"Electrical values thats easy 30W 12V Heiziezieistrung 6000 operating pressure first Inbe Triebnighme "
Try Alta vista "Bable Fish" translation site.
still doesn't tell much
Hmmmm maybe we could bring it to punch buggy day if we can't figure it out Thurs night.
Why dont you post it on TheSamba, someone there will know.

Great find Traveler!
That one looks much smaller, but it's a step closer to figuring out what it's from.
I think it could be from a type 4 s#r
Heizgerat is a company that makes heating units for seats also.
I was hoping it was a mouse/squirrel trap that I could use in my shed.
I might donate it for the next Dairy Queen Cruise award. ;D
