She's tagged and insured. Took her out tonight for the first test run. Real smooooooooooth . Wow I love the smell of old road grime and dried up oil on a hot engine. Still have to tweak the steering adjustment a little and adjust the brakes.
Nothing more exciting & terrifying than that first test run. Congrats :icon_thumleft:
My first drive, I had a stinger exhaust... my community loved me. I guess they are glad I am gone.
How far did you drive before you realized the brakes need adjustment?
That smell and feeling you got was the satisfaction of knowing that YOU built the car! Congrats on the slick ride- hope to see it on saturday.

Before I got to the end of the driveway mmmm
I drove her about 5 miles, it was getting dark so didn't want to go much farther. Brakes are OK, just would like a little more peddle.
Thats Great!
Another one hits the road!

think of that smell as "VW perfume" sometimes my wife can tell if I've been messing with the cars just by the smell on my clothes!
im off mon maybe we can work on them then. do they need to be re bled or just moved closer to the drums?
need to move the shoes closer to the drums. Drove her today for a while, stops good,no pull to either side.
