S@Sm I'd like to get the front axle put on my bus this Saturday morning, the 21st. Is there anyone who'd be able to help me out. The axle weighs a ton so it's definitely at least a 3-person job minimum.
I have a double that day. >:( Good luck!
It's going to be tough to get people together with it being Punch Buggy weekend.
Yeah, I was thinking about that last night. I hadn't noticed it was the day before Punch Buggy when I started the thread. I'm moving it to the 28th instead.
I'll help BUT,
cut all the weeds away from the bus.
Have a GOOD sheet of plywood to roll a jack on. Do you have a floor jack? If not I'll bring mine.
Have all needed tools and stuff Ready so we don't spend a lot of time looking for said needed tools.
Have all your nuts and bolts cleaned up
if you guys can do it Sunday I can help
help lift that is since I don't otherwise know what I'm doing
Joe. We can't let Jack do this in the summers heat, we need him around for awhile to nap for us. I'll do it for you in his place. My weekends are thight, but any chance we can do this in the afternoon / evening. All I need is another set of hands, yours will do fine.
Where do you live, is the bus on dirt or concret surface?

Jack. Thanks for the heads up. Once I find out where he lives I'll try to stop by 1st to see what we'll up against. Either way we'll get-er-done and you just relax and stay out of the heat and get that freaken-fracken POS Bus together. &m&

Jack. When we doing this, I'm beginning to confuse myself. I'm not sure I can do it Saturday morning, I have to clean and do the floors. Maybe I shouldn't have kickButt the :icon_geek: out so soon. And her blowup replacement just dosen't do chit execpt stand there with a chit eating grin on her face :icon_geek:. Has anyone heard from this guy seen or know what we'll up against or we need to bring? I'll bring a gifsawsall that usually solves everything. You bring the 196
LoL LoL LoL
Is Sunday better for everyone? If people need an incentive, I have a '70 Bug that anyone who helps can scavenge parts off of.
Jeeeeeze, when is this to be done? I can bring the plywood, it's currently on the floor of my open air garage. Two sheets should do it. I'll also bring a 2 pound hammer and my 12 pound mall.
Joe,
sorry but I'm still tied up with Mikes engine, we've got to finish break in and then get it back in the car.
When and Where, I can do it after 4:00. Maybe that will be too late on Sunday. >:(
Sat. is best. Sun. is my day of rest. &&&&

just sunday,huh? :icon_cheesygrin:
i'm available any time Sunday. the only other thing I have to do Sunday is put the engine back in my bus. hey does that 70 bug have the flaps for the fan housing? It appears I have the "doghouse" type housing but no flaps
I was talking with Jack and he's available for Sunday Morning. We'll be at Joe's house around 8 - 8:30am.. Joe is going to post his address for anyone who wishes to help out. I know that some of the guys have limited time and can't hang very long so we need to get this thing done. It shouldn't take very long? Joe advised me that most items are disconnected but the Beam complete with brakes etc is still mounted. He's going to soak all nuts with PB Blaster again and pickup some plywood, that is unless one of you guys that are attending has a good sheet less the splinters c23 that a jack will roll on?
PM me if you need my address or phone number.
If you get stuck for manpower, let me know, I'll drive over to help if really needed.
Matt
