Title: good news, bad news.
Post by: cherrybomb on August 06, 2008, 11:10:14 AM
I know I haven't been very active due to my extremely busy schedule and the car has gotten the short end of the stick out of it.

The good news is I now have plenty of time to get back to the hobby of working on my car.   Bad news is my job went to India.

So if any of you guys are hanging out and working on your rides, let me know where you are all at. Always better to have company in the garage, and I'm willing to help out with others rides as well.  I'll probably stop by the DQ cruise tommorow night, possibly with my new seats installed....well back to back to the garage to figure out how to make some seat brackets.

Hey Cherry

good to hear you are still around but too bad about the job. Lots of that stuff going around this year!

It will be good to see your gt2 again, my brad is resting after tunnel surgery last week. We carved a hole in the tunnel and repaired a broken clutch tube mount. Things seem better at the clutch pedal but I've got other headaches this year since my gulls started to crack all by themselves. I'm working on a unplexiglass idea but it wont be done this season.

I'll be looking for you thursday night!

Thanks guys, you know what they say with change comes opportunity, so that's the way I'm looking at it.  Besides, working on the car is great therapy  screwey))

Already hit my first roadblock, the seats that I got that I was trying to put in the GT2 today are not gonna fit, purely a height issue, don't think any type of dropped brackets or   gifsawsall are gonna help. looked to be the right size on the rails too.  Soooo plan B...anyone know a good upholsterer to get the old ones redone?? Got a real nice set of leather buckets out of a new RX8 to trade if anybody here can do it, I'll post pics in the sale area for  anyone to see, if anyone wants em, what ya got to trade?

and yea looking forward to tommorow night.
