Pulled electric wire off my choke this AM. What a difference. No hesitation or sputtering when the engine is cold. THANKS JACK.
Now if I can remember to hook it back up in cold weather.javascript:void(0);
I like it when Jack gives good advise, which 110% of the time.
Well, that is different! - do you need a new selenoid for the carb?
Matt
dad i would check the muir book, i think there is more to it than just pulling the choke wire off, if that was the case i would have done it months ago. look up disabling the choke in the muir book, he talks about adjusting the choke flap so it is in the open pos. otherwise i think you are running rich. how far did you drive? did you give it enough time to see how it runs when hot? 2CENTS 2CENTS
Runs good both hot or cold.

Jim, I must have been drunk when I told you to just pull the choke wire off. c23 And I don't drink ???
Greg is right in this case. :icon_cheers:
If you pull the wire off the choke, the choke is always on and if it runs better that way I would think your main jet was partly cloged and the choke being on would pull more gas for it to run better. I really wouldn't recomend running the car that way. Or your spray jet is cloged causing the hesitation.
When did I tell you to do this question?sign
