i was just thinking, has anyone ever made like an el camino, or ranchero out of a type 3. I know John would kill me for saying that, but it wouldn't look half bad. I love you hearse idea scare crow, you gotta get a casket thought to complete it and some glowing red or green lights for teh back.

I like you thinking... I have seen pictures of Type3's done in an El Camino/Ranchero pickup style & they look really cool
Or something like the Subaru Baja would be cool, a 4 seater cabin and then the truck bed.
You may want to think twice knowing how rare these cars are becoming, not to mention the price and rareness of T-3 Parts. s#r
Honestly I don't like to see any car cut up, which is why I'm dreading the day I get the hole in my bug fixed. It's like buggy torture to me.
Thank you, Jay
Lets surprise John and cut his up. OOps, did I just say that out loud?
If you guys go to some of the PA Vdub shows theres a couple of T-3s that have been turned into pick ups. ( sorry John ) I can think of 2 one black one and a red one. The black one looked factory but not so for the red one. Its like any other mod, if done right its going to look great. I've also seen a couple of cars converted into "sedan deliveries" with just filled in back windows.
Mark,
I like it but the "landeau irons" bad look! and please no vinyl roof!!
Originally you could buy a european sedan delivery square. They are quite rare, in fact the type3 detectives out of England just sold theirs to a guy in California for 10 grand and it was beat up.
Other than that, everything else is a wanna be.

Don't be haten Pat. Just cause your car isn't as beautiful as that bus across the street, doesn't mean that some day it won't grow up to be a real car. :icon_geek:

I'm sorry- that car (the type3 Detective car) is $21,000 and for sale right now

No vinyl roof. Seen one like that don't like it. But would definitly metal over the the the window & use landeau irons. Dark read velvet cutain on the other window. Rip off all mouldings. Some kind of sick pointy Frenched in tail lights. Paint it flat black & add some homemade flames. White walls, chrome wheels, casket handles for bumpers mounted on raw 1/8" steel. Some kind of metal work on the roof that looks like the railing that goes around casket at the grave yard during a funeral :clipboard_50x50:
You didn't see that rat ghia in Lemorris' video? 57 chrysler tail fins grafted on a ghia. A most bad-assed look. Would work well on squareback hearse. BTW when you do it...I want to do the Oak (rear) interior work
