Hey I was looking up small cars, and I came across a little car called the "Cricket" any of you guys remember this one? Must not have made an impact because I've never heard of such a car!

Had a girlfriend who had one, miserable car that couldn't get out of its own way!

I tried to tune it up and even that didn't help. Its a good thing there aren't any around today they were just junk!
Here's a little VW related trivia to the Plymouth Cricket...
The Cricket was essentially a rebadged Hillman Avenger. The Avenger was offered in several different countries by Chrysler. When VW purchased the Chrysler operation in Argentina, they inherited the Hillman Avenger there which was marketed as the Dodge 1500. VW rebadged these cars and called them the VW 1500 (no relation to the Type 3's). So that same Plymouth Cricket was later marketed as a VW!
Here's some stuff about it on Wiki, but there is a book called Volkswagens of the World that has a little more information about this car.
