Post by: vwtrike (Rich) on October 21, 2008, 01:04:03 PM
Hay Bob
You said you may have an intake manifold for a 1600, 34 carb. If you find it, I'll see you Saturday at the show

Rich,

I'm 99% sure I've got one. I'm going over to the garage tonight to work on my 72 I'll check my parts pile and let you know for sure.

I've got that Chrome 2-Barrel dual port Intake one that I bought at EnglishTown that you guys were busting my stones about at the show  :surrender:. The guy that said he wanted me to pick him up one, now dosen't want it. $25.00

Rich,

I found one, its a bit crappy looking and I think you'll have to clean the heat risers out but it should work. Hey it will make a good winter project!! I'll bring it Saturday.

Thanks Bob
I'll see you guys on Saturday. I will help with anything. I don't know if you need help with judging. I did it a couple of time when I was in Central Jersey Street Rod. The one Jay bought looks good, but I think I'll stay with a stock one. I just put a new 34 carb on.

Great!
Last year Mustang Joe & I plus a couple of other club members "winged it". Joe knows his stuff so with a couple of experienced judges we should be OK.

That manifold Jay got is nice but I think its set up for a single Weber, might be too much for a stock engine.
