I was speaking with Scarecrow at the Clayton show and showed him my Clamptite tool. He suggested I share it with the club.

I found this at a ham radio flea market. It uses stainless steel safety wire to make clamps. I use it for everything. and I havent bought a hose clamp since I got it. I bought the stainless steel version. Seems a little pricey...but it's one of those tools you keep forever. I used it to put the heatwrap on my exhaust. Saved $25 in SS bands on this one job.

Looks like it takes more time to do than a hose clamp, and looks like it digs into the rubber. I'd like to check it out though when I see your baja.

That may be true, you should show this tool at the meeting on Monday. It's been a while since we had a tool presentation. *Not talking about your neighbor with the PT Cruiser*
Heck make a video and put it on youtube and post it on here!
