hey gang. I had a engine that I made ventilated! fig2
but some of the parts are still good. Like the cooling flaps, dog house fan, heater boxes engine tin. Most of it is in good shape. If any one needs anything it is free for the taking.. BO**
-
1600? I'll take the cooling flaps bottom tins where are you located?
-
I am in Roxborough. 19128
I normally work the weekends, but if you give me enough notice I will be able to be home..

Ahh ok is the flap assembly complete? Is it for a 1600 DP motor?
-
I think it is complete. It is still on the engine. I belive it was a single port (1500)
-
Oh :'( Never-mind then.

It will work, same-O same-O.

If the heater boxes will fit my 74 super, I would like to come and get them. This is very much appreciated.
Thanks

I just was out in the bus bin, and gave them a look over. The right box has a small hole at the bottom. I can take some pics if you want, but they are useable. Well I mean there free!
just let me know when you wanta stop by

Let me know where you are and i will figure it out from there. i am up in east brunswick.

I do not think those will fit Mark, it will be close.
I bought some used heater boxes from a swap, cleaned them up, and put one on my 73to replace one that was rusty; found that the tube coming out of the box is of thicker diameter and does not mate up well to the muffler, it is darn close but not a good fit. - this box it seems came from a single port I tried it anyway.
Used the hard asbestos gasket to seal the tube from the box to the muffler as one normally would. In about 2 days the asbestos gasket broke into pieces from the vibration and poor fit. Replaced it with a metal mesh gasket, and that seems to be holding though there is a slight exhuast leak.
Is your car 74 stock engine? they may even have a diff muffler than mine...single exhaust?
Maybe it is my car....who knows

not quite, you need the "cages" and a different connector bar. The dog house style fan shroud needs these parts to clear around the cooler unless the single port has the later style shroud 2CENTS
-
He needs the flaps and they will work.
-
Jack,
they will work if the cages are included. Thats the bent thing at the bottom of this photo connecting the two levers. If they came off of a "dog house" style fan shroud they should have all this stuff.

I will take some photos and see if they are what he needs.

WoW. Now theres something you don't see everyday. No wonder you had an oil leak. Bet you also had a big drop in oil presure? meter Bet JBWeld wouldn't even patch that creater.. :wallbash:

Wow! I never seen one go like that.
looks exactly like the case MOFOCO sold me years ago, they DID fix it with JB weld. Engine ran exactly for 50 miles! Don't buy "MAIL ORDER JUNK"! or thats what you might get!
you can see them pretty well,
Those flaps won't fit a 1600 with a dog house cooler. If you can find the missing "cages" and the right "Connector bar" they might work.
