This is THE number 1 EV guy. He builds incredible stuff. In case yo didn't know, just prior to aquiring th Meanie I was looking to do this to a Geo Storm.
Neil Young owns this and it holds records as well

for drag it makes perfect sense, electric motors make tremendous torque and make it immediately and hold a steady torque curve unlike gas motors.
Having raced scale versions I can say that in drag especially the big downside is you are dumping ALOT of juice through the motor in a few seconds.
For the scale cars you could make one pass on a motor and battery set, then they needed 24 hours to cool from the heat generated in the dump
Still electric has some amazing performance potential

The guy mentions in the video that a recharge takes about 15 minutes. I'd guess to perform like that hes dumping all the juice out of the battery pack. I'd think Lithiun-ion batteries must charge up very quickly.

Yea, when you see that car blow the doors off of the vette it makes you think! Its all about HP to weight and with the non-existing torque curve of the electric motor that thing must be lethal off the line!

I've seen the vids of Neils Lincoln before one very cool car! Neil is one of my favorites, his music has always been great and just for the record the song " Long may you run" was written about a car he had back in the 60's think it was a Dodge.
