Title: cold weather
Post by: 6T5 square on December 20, 2008, 03:48:21 pm
New shocks for front end on weezer- $38

Split washers for the shocks cause it didn't come with the funky lock washers- $.79

Seeing your breath while working in your garage and not worrying because you know it's keeping your beer cold- priceless!

 Good savings John!

I was working in my garage today also, blasted my turbo heater for 10  min , and i was good to go - temps held for a couple hours - got my other bilge blower in my car

Did you see my post for the NOS ( i think they were NOS )  T3 heads?

Thought they may be very rare

Nice! I froze my  mooning off yesterday just pulling a dead battery out of the 72'. A 10 minute job but felt like I was out there an hour thanks to the weather. Damn 1 yr old "Die hard" died! Time to visit Sears again!

I did see them Matt and while it would be a good insurance policy for the future, all available funds are going into Ned. Besides , if I ever had to replace the heads in weezie, I would be building a bigger motor with dual ports.

There Bob. I said it. BIGGER motor!

Bought one of these at HomeDepot for $99. It hooks up to a BBQ tank and will RUN YOU OUT of the (tent) garage in about 5 minutes. Perfect to take the chill of a real garage

So i think my carburator is icing over,  Is the a fuel addicitve or do i just wait it out till the engine is "warm".  Also i saw snow INSIDE the bug today i was singing to the radio and i saw the condesation from my breath turn to snow.

Use one of those to heat my garage. best $99 I ever spent. Forget the 20lb barbaque tanks they can't be refiled. Bought my own 30 lb tank & it cost less to refill that than it does to exchange those those 20 lb Blue Rhino's

the old die hards were good, the one this batery replaced went in the car back in 1995 and it finally "died hard" last year. I never pulled it during the winter and i can't remember it having to be charged. I'll drag the new dead one over to sears next week and see if theres a problem with a dead cell.

Yeup, that is what I have, a different model though.

 So far I like it!

Blast it for a little while, turn it off, and your set to go

Bob, yea, I would think something may be bad with one of the cells. I never had a complaint about them....
