Title: Meyers Manx II buggy
Post by: jthw8 on January 06, 2009, 08:47:14 AM
Genuine Manx II with ID tag and verified by and registered with the Manx club.

Stock 1600 dual port motor.
Newer custom molded carpets.
Lots of spare parts.
Runs and drives well.  Looks good but not a show car.
Pictures show rectangular lights but it has since been converted to proper round lights.

The sad truth is it only got out of the garage twice last year (due to no fault of its own) and its time to let it go rather than let it sit.

Correctly titled as a reconstructed car in NJ.
Asking $7000

Any questions please dont hesistate to email.

Aw Jim, I'm going to miss your buggy. It was a real head turner. I can't believe you are selling it.  :icon_frown:

Buggy's are only next best thing to motorcyles when it comes to your face in the wind.

and when properly set up are more fun than a lot of sport cars.

Thanks Joe, it will be missed but with my daughter having outgrown the "back seat" we just never take it out anymore and I hate to see it sit.

I was hoping it would stay in the club and stay local but there seems to be alot more out of town interest in it.

Sold :(  Should be picked up tomorrow.

On the upside its staying local.  New owner is in Clayton, I told him to harass Jack ;)  He will leave with the club info so I hope everyone will welcome him with open arms.

On the hunt for....
a) decent driver quality Thing
b) decent driver quality Studebakers...all years and models considered, except Lark...I've got one of them already

Aww, c'mon now, you know I love you guys too much to leave.  And you all know I have enough automotive ADD that I won't remain VWless forever.  I've got too many parts here to stay out of it forever.

  Jim:

I seen a Studebaker in a field last year. I forgot the year and model, could be a propeller model. If I can't find it, my son can as he was riding motocross in the field next door.

Hey Jim... JT's not sad at all that your selling your Manx.. He's actually Happy because deep down inside he knows that he'll have less compition against his own Scooby-do Buggie.. All kidding aside that car is too nice to sell, how about donating it to the club so that we can go Four-wheeling.  :wallbash:
