Good video!
I agree with the guy almost everything he went over could be applied to an AC VW.
The only thing I would disagree is with the platinum plugs. I've tried to run them in my 72 and they would almost instantly foul and the engine would run very bad. VW suggested we use the Bosch W8AC plug for a standard engine and in some cases like a type 2 / 4 or 3/4" reach aftermarket heads the W8CC plug. I've never had issues with either plug.

Greg, thanks for the video, very informative,

Bob, I never had a prob with plat plugs....hmm strange, but I usually go with the Bosch, as they are cheaper........
Do you know why they fouled?  Hm I wonder what i have in there now..

Matt,

I have no idea why, could be the super small electrode. I'm running a pertronix module and coil so voltage isn't an issue. I've had great luck with the W8CC's in my 044 heads, no fouling at all. I bought a cheapo Harbor Freight spark plug cleaner and I've cleaned and regapped sets for both cars with no noticeable changes in running. I've made a habit of cleaning them every valve adjustment and so far its working out fine.
