I have a professional slide scanner, if you have some slides or *35mm negatives* I can scan them for you for free and e-mail the pictures to you or put them on a CD that YOU provide. Not sure how many will fit on a disk.

no just 35mm slides and negatives sorry =-( I got it because we have YEARS of slides that are just too annoying to hold up to a light. ;D Or maybe it's because I'm a techie

LMAO How could you let this one stay a slide!
-
I could try scanning it with my flatbed scanner, but I can't make any promises on how it will turn out. The flatbed is just your typical photo document scanner.

Love the picture!! (love

Greg
Someday if you have kids that photo will be priceless!
I've got a flat bed scanner and tried to scan 35mm slides, it didn't work. I also tried some old 35mm B & W negatives and with a white sheet of paper I could get an image. I just used my photo shop software to make a "negative" out of them which really turned them into a positive. Quality sucked but at least i was able to save some very old photos that way.
-
Yeah that's why I chose against the flatbed scanners. This is strictly a 35mm slide scanner and 35mm negative scanner. I've tried scanning slides on the my flatbed but got the same results that you did.
-
We need to get a current father and son pic. s#r I still have that coat, Greg can wear his Grinch pj's. !fright!
-
I ran out of contacts, we'll have to wait. ;D Does this mean we have to drag the kitchen table into the dining room? >:( I'm sure I can find a ringer at goodwill.
-
LoL Got my moneys worth out of that table.

I have an HP flatbet scanner that has a device in the lid that will do Slides & Negatives. You can scan any slide or negative but it must be backlit. Cut a hole in black construction paper the size of the negative and put it on the platen (glass). Put the negative on top over the hole. put a piece of bright white printer paper on top of that and light it with your desk lamp (experiment with distance). It will work prety good. I've used a light box I have. Note:If your scanner has a "lid open" sensor you have to defeat it
-
??? what happens when you enlage the slides?
-
you get larger slides!!!!
Thank you, thank you ladies and gentlemen! i'll be here for three shows this weekend. Take care and don't forget to tip the waitress!

Slides & Negatives are extremely high resolution (The equivalent of like 174 megapixels!).
An 8X10 enlargement won't be degraded (If you scan at high res on a negative scanner).
The paper difuser used in my quick-and-dirty method might cause the appearance of grainy-ness at that size. An opaque glass would eliminate that
