Title: 1975 standard bus, f.i. 4 speed project 4/s
Post by: 75type2 on February 02, 2009, 10:32:57 AM
looking to sell my 1975 bus, fuel injected 2.0L 4 speed,
im located in sicklerville, Nj,08081.

ill start with the list of good things about it

i bought this not running and replaced the following

the engine, used from a parts donor,
new fuel lines,filter,12v electric pump
new filler neck, fuel tank cleaned, no rust in it
new plugs,wires,cap,and rotor,
i had the engine running but the alternator went on me

list of part i have new, not installed
wheel bearings/ wheel seals, brake pads/shoes, rear wheel cylinders
all new brake line kit
windshield seal, and windsheild, the one in it has a small crack at the bottom
extra engine tins, that i primed and painted to match the color (yellow),engine compartment seals.

i know im probably forgetingwhat other new things i have.

used additional parts include
passengerside sliding door, spare fuel tank (very clean),spare dash board and instrument panel, guage cluster. many parts from old engine (intake, hard fuel lines, injectors, ect)
lots of other parts of the donor i got the motor from.

as for the body, there is minimal rusted spots on the bus, some rough spots inside the door (step up part of the door jamb), a litte around the doors, the "dog legs" seem to be ok, all the glass is good except the windshield, but like i said above i have a replacement. the underside has few spots in floor supports, nothing to hard to replace,

the interior isnt in the best shape, the vinyl on the seats is torn in spots, and the cushioning it broken down on the front seats, both rear benchs are in good shape, the headliner is ide say in awsome shape, the door panels arent the great and i dont think i have the slider door panel anymore. i aslo have quite a bit of extra interior parts.

ide like to post picture but i cant open the file on my computer,  :icon_pale:

i will try to take current pictures, and quite possibly bring them to a meeting at taylors or prestige, looking to get $1100 o.b.o.
thanks for reading.. if anyone has any interest please contact me @ 609 680 1781, Bill.

it needs an alternator, brake lines, all the new brake parts installed, wheels bearings are done, i would suggest a flat trailer for towing it.
