Title: Shortie Split Bus
Post by: Bugaru "JAY" on February 23, 2009, 09:02:10 PM
.
Hey isn't this the same Bus that was just Forsale on Craigslist awhile back? If I remember correctly it was in Morrestown? I use to live in Morrestown, and if this video was taken in MoesTown I can't figure out where it may be taken. But I'm guessing that if it is MoesTown it's the Lanola section of town and taken between Camden Ave, and Kings Hwy. I just can't figure out what street this is. I'm betting that the cross street is Lanola Road?  :wallbash:

Jay,

Many years ago there was a repair shop up on rt 38 just before where 206 crosses named "Seco II". I knew a guy who worked there and the owner had a shortened split window bus that would do wheelstands. The only problem was that it was totally unstable at anything over 15mph. They had a photo of it going down rt 38 on 2 wheels. I wonder if that is the same bus with some mods ??

Hey, this is my borther-in-law's bus. He did buy it off of craigslist from the guy in moorestown. These videos were shot in front of my house in Runnemede. He is garaging it here and we are working on it. We hope to be out and about with it by summer!!

Cool. You guys will have to join us at one of our meetings or car events. It would be fun to see Shortie Run.. Our Club meetings are the 1st Monday of each month. "Thats This coming Monday March 2nd @ 7:00PM in Turnersville" see the clubs calendar of events for details. It would be great having you join us. By the way none of our Beetles bites. You don't need to bring or own a VW to attend a meeting, just yourself. Try it your like it.  vwlogo  plndonut 196

Welcome to the message board! And BTW pay no attention if you come across a thread about when your buswas for sale... We were just jealous 'cause WE couldn't have it... It looks MUCH better in your videos than it did on the CL ad  (love

Im starting to think im lucky i snatched it up when i did i didnt know there was that many people looking at it.  at the moment it looks like crap slowly getting it down to the original metal to see what im working with but this guy must of won a contest and got a lifetime supply of bondo. the car was more plastic then a hot wheel.

Wow...You're brave.

To dig into a radical custom... That's scary.

Hopefully the structure is solid & you're just knocking off his "creativity".

It is pretty scary!! We started poking around and wanted make sure all the work was legit and at thesame time kinda bring the bus back to more of a vintage/classic style instead of 80's custom.
