I've always been terribly amused with that kit for some reason. Id consider it if I had a) space b) money and if properly titling and registering a kit in NJ wasnt so darn difficult
99off But still cool. ;D
ok boys, back away from the bizarre! stoned#
Are you kidding me? That's the most outrageous thing I've seen yet. Buy it, rip the corvair motor out (trade it to Bob for a mouse pad) and put a nice 1835 1776 in it. People will hurt themselves trying to get a look!
Yea. if its still for sale when i get my tax return i think I am going to have to get it.
I am thinking de-chromed,flat black paint, 2332 turbo engine and some HID headlights and it would be good to go d-s d-s

Just be sure to look into what you will need to do to properly title, register and insure it, its not easy or straightforward.
If you do it up in flat black let me know, I'd love to pinstripe it ;)
Will do!!
And the pinstripe would be nice :icon_sunny:
When i had my 1st fiberglass dunebuggy i had it titled as a 75 beetle and tossed QQ tags on it :) Probably not the way to do it huh?

Not legally unfortunately, and when you submit the photos and they see its not a bug there may be issues. Also NJ titles kits as the year they were finished construction, not the year of the chassis so you could end up with a 2009 Title (and all the inspection requirements that go with it) however for emissions they will go by the year of the engine so make sure that case is stamped and not an aftermarket unstamped case.
Oh wow, That does sound like a bit of a pain!
Ill have to dig out an old case then, just incase :)

Not funny at all!
If the Corvair runs leave it alone minimum 110HP, just about 70lbs heavier than a VW,
If you really want to have fun theres a guy who converts 94mm VW cylinders to fit the vair and that gives you 3.5Ltrs +, throw a set of machined heads and a set of 3bbl webers and you've got 300+ rompin & stompin horses! Don't knock the vair the weak link is the VW trans not the engine!

Did see one once and they are Mondo-Bizzarre! The Chevy guys
