Title: insurance
Post by: scarecrow on March 12, 2009, 06:20:54 PM
Hagerty agreed to add the Jeep to my policy as an antique  BO** (same as my Rat) $10,000 stated value. Total premium $180 per year, covers both rides. I just love this company. Tomorrow I go to DMV to get the title put in my name :icon_pale: Hopefully I won't be treated like a criminal this time 888 It's a NJ title so it should be no problem. I hope ???

I'll be switching over to antique ASAP on the Beetle. I too will be using Hagerty. They have the best options on mileage you can drive ... and the cost wasn't bad either!

Hey John G ... that's 2 posts in less than a hour!

I hate the DMV  :icon_evil: I did get the new title but only after the "I gotta check with my supervisor" Chit. Instead of lieing & making up a milage number I made the mistake of telling the truth. Milage unknow, new speedo, zero miles. "The computer will not accept zero" :wallbash: I had to sign a statement giving my best estimate of milage before I replaced the speedo  %6% What's with these people  >:(  they seem to go out of their way to find reasons to not give you what you came in for  fight= rude & surly to boot... ....@ Oh well next is the QQ tags  at least I can do that with out having to deal with one of these morons face to face  rant

                                          HAGERTY

I think I mentioned this about 2 years ago, when I called Hagerty to renew my policy
on the Ghia I asked them if they covered club events etc. I can't remember who in the club I talked to about it? So now I'm posting it. I was told they do and it is a good
thing to have if the club sponsors events or has meetings, picnics etc. just in case
someone gets hurt or a car gets damaged by a club member etc. I think the way this
club is growing in membership it would be a good idea to look into the options.
If I remember right the person that has to contact Hagerty is the president or treasurer?
I don't think each member would mind spending a few extra bucks in dues a year to make sure
we are safe.
They have a toll free number ~ 1 800 922 4050 their web site is www.hagerty.com (http://www.hagerty.com)
I hope this will work out to protect others and our selfs

P.S. I said I paid $250 for the Ghia and Bus when in fact it was $226 and $24 for the
Hagerty Plus membership.

Good luck and be safe.
Bud
