Title: Lakeland Swap Meet-Garden State Model A Club Event

    In spite of the rain it wasn?t miserable in fact in was a lot of fun.

   A special thanks to the few members that made it possible:

   Jack Kessel for bringing the tent and banner before he had to go to work,
Jay DePompo and Shawn MacDonald for picking up Bud VW parts. Bob Mondello for staying all day and helping me pack in all up when it was over and Frank Perez for donating the site fee and providing lunch.

  We netted close to $100 for the club treasury. We made a bunch of new friends and possible new club members; we even passed out some VW flyers. In all it was not only worth the effort but we are looking forward to doing it again next year.

Despite the weather it was a good time. No one had anything but good things about the "VW Guys" being at the show. Definately a relationship with great potential.

Guys,

It was a fun day!
I think we scored big with the Model A guys and next year if it doesn't rain lets try to put a nice line of cars in that show and double our flea market spot. I had a blast and even ran into a couple of folks I know and its great to see VWs accepted by others in the collector car community.

Hey Shawn can't find Jay in that one! and did you check those rockers yet? wondering about that missing shim..

Jay is holding an old BONG he found in Bud's Cheech & Chong bus  LAUGH@
I was on my way home from South Jersey Radiology with Joan's film and saw Lakeland Rd. took that to the Fair grounds, where I bought the fire "truck".
I know Joe and Jack had to leave before I got there, Jay and Shawn did a good job of loading up Shawn's pickup truck at my house early. I went to bed at 2am and was up at 7am so I wouldn't miss them.

This is the grumpy Bud talking~ "I think it would  have been nice to have had more club members there to HELP  BOB, Jay, Shawn & Frank. Joe T. was sick and Jack had to go to work, but they did show up and did what they had time to do." Remember this is only my
