Just got back from the Medford show. Nice. about 175 cars, weather was good. Danny was there, Jon with the orange thing(without his car) and a guy named Rich I've met before- from delaware, has a 63 beetle.
One thing I've learned over the years is when you enter a mixed car show, especially one run by a corvette club, do not expect to get a trophy. Period. So i wasn't really expecting one. But I stuck around for the presentation. In the foriegn car catagory, third went to a guy with an older beat up mercedes, second went to a guy with a nice Acura next to me , an then first place in the Foriegn Car class went to
drumroll please............
a 1964 Oldsmobile.
yes oldsmobile.
Now again- I'm not expecting to win anything cause I know how these things go but when clubs have these shows, can they please not have the 60 year old wifes of car owners registering the cars. Maybe have some one that actually knows something about cars and is not just there for the free donuts and coffee!
We can learn alot about atco from this.

WHAT?? I better get the Corvair up & running soon I could have taken best "Foreign Chevy" with it!
You're right, judging like that is just stupid. Atco is going to be fair and I'm sure we won't mix up the makes and models.

Kinda hard to mix up makes at a VW event

well, not really. little things can get messed up because someone doesn't know how to fill out a form. Danny was told that his car yesterday wasn't in the foriegn class because he had the wrong bumpers and stickers on his car- they put him in the modified class.
