Hi Guys,
I am looking for someone to make it over to Hammonton, NJ to pickup an engine and tranny, and ship it to California.
Need someone with a bit of mechanical experience to insure the engine is dry and crated for freight shipping to the Bay Area here in CA.
This is a paying gig, let me know how much you want to pickup, crate, and bring to a freight company in S. NJ. I will pay all shipping costs outright, plus whatever you want for this gig.
Can anyone recommend a freight company in S. NJ?
Thanks busicon2
Why don't the person your buying from ship them?
After looking into engine shipping.... it is cheaper than I thought. Should cost no more to ship a VW T4 with tranny cross-country for 250 - 350. The person that sold it to me agreed to crate it up. I'll be using enginedirect.net
Anyways, I thought this would be harder than it is.
It's weird that you are getting an engine from NJ since most of the engine builders it seems are in the West Coast. Anything special about it?
It is a 1978 FI for my 78' riveria, comes with a new tranny as well. It was built by a local mechanic here in S. Jersey, bought it off eBay. The previous owner ran it a few times in the last 3 years and basically just wants to get rid of it I guess.
I looked around CA but the prices of rebuilt engines out here are $$$$$$$$.
