Paul is the name of the guy that owns that car. Neither he or his wife can drive a stick. He actualy had it converted to a Type 3 auto. A type 3 rear suspension clip was grafted to a re-enforced type 1 chassis. Real nice guy but he farmed out all of the work. Car was 3 years in the making. He spent a ton of money to have it done. That car is one of one. As far as I know it's never been done before. I know that I checked into it & all said that it could not be done. It also has air conditioning.

hell of a lot of money just so you dont have to push a clutch pedal

Actually theres a guy who races a fully automatic beetle. I've see it and talked with the guy. He had a special torque converter made for it. As I remember it was fast. competitive and he could do a mean burn out with it.
