Title: Zen and the art of (V-dub) maintainence.

book (http://www.amazon.com/Zen-Art-Motorcycle-Maintenance-Inquiry/dp/0553277472)
I don't know how many of you guys have read the book.  I highly recomend it. I know it isn't Vw related but the idea is still very much the same. It was a motivator for me, getting into cars that can be fixed by an average human being. I would go into details , but my boys are sacking me with a broom.

If you mean "Zen and the art of Motorcycle Maintenance" yea, I read it years ago. Its not anything different from maintaining an air cooled vdub. Not so much "being one with your machine" as to knowing your ride and listening for little signs when something goes wrong.

Hey I should reread it my Suzuki project is on line to get finished this summer!

I read it too - good book!  I have it if anyone wants to borrow it.

It inspired me so much that my friend and I almost bought motorcycles to drive across country in college. Luckily I held out and soon after that daydream  screwey)) ...Yucel & I bought the bus and took that cross country... much better to take your bed with you  busicon2... and someone like Yucel who actually knows how to fix something when it goes wrong.  weldface
