Title: Glass Install - Part 2
Post by: rich67vw on August 12, 2009, 08:26:28 PM
Update on glass install - rear window out, I took pics of the deinstall just in case folks arent familar with that. I dont know the right or wrong way, just pulled the trim, got a sharp razor knife and pulled out. Cleaned the mounting area with some WD-40 and my new friend, acetone. BTW, whoever mentioned to me at the last meeting that acetone takes off excess primer was right on. :icon_thumright:

I am currently down in a sauna known as Jacksonville, FL, which may be a good place to have packed and put the new seals out in the sun to soften up.

Thats not the way George and Jack taught me. The wire was pulled towards the window from the inside.  See, I DID pay attention... WA#

I have the front seal to do on the GlowBug. I'm holding that off to a proposed March 2010 SVC tech session as its a curved one and I dont feel real confident about doing that myself. @7@
