Title: Anybody in the club have a double cab?
Post by: braidmeister on October 27, 2009, 12:39:09 PM
Just wondering if anyone in the club has a double cab pickup. I just put a deposit on one this morning...Should hopefully have it on or before the weekend.

Meg HAD to have it...guess she got caught up in the fantasy of using it to haul bags of mulch for gardening etc. "It'll be so easy to load" - Who am I to argue with that logic??!!

I guess we are now moving closer to the dark side (T2)  LAUGH@

Yeah...Me too!!!  :icon_cheesygrin:

So...I'll take that as a 'No - nobody in the club has a double cab'

Looking to compare notes...This one is mostly complete, it runs & drives, but I have to redo the interior, back bumper etc. Not sure the care and feeding of these beasts yet...I know most of the parts are straight T2/Bus, but there are some unique things to the pickups.

theres a guy named Edwin and his wife who have one. they show up at some of the events but are not regulars. Also Marty Corer, a Jeweler from Merchantville has one. Ask George about it at the next meeting.

Never argue with a women P#3

There is a single cab in Aura sitting in front of a barn for the past few years and it don't look rusted out, never have stopped to see if it was for sale.

I'm buying Marty's double cab...He said he was good friends with George.

Would love to have a single cab for 2 reasons...(but it ain't gonna happen any time soon)

1) It's a got a 5X8' bed

2) It's got that neat little locker below the bed...something I wished that the DC had.

Hey thats great! I didn't know it was for sale. Marty used it for a business vehicle when he had the shop in Merchantville. Too bad you beat me to it, I would have swapped the Dakota for it in a second! Good luck you got a good one!

I think he was looking for some cold hard cash...otherwise I would have traded him my S10 or RV (going up for sale soon)
