Buddy of mine in MD called me about these tonite. Same seller. No details other than the ads. He thought Id want the Bradley (I do) but I *really* want the 68 Ghia vert.
If I wasnt forcing myself to stay focused on the Wartburg build I'd be packing up my truck and getting a trailer in the morning.

Dang, dang, dang, dang, what to do - I'm liking the 71 (love

Group buy!!!
Could probably take everything for about $2000 :) So we've got a taker for the 71 SB and a taker for the 68 Ghia vert.
Anyone up for the Bradley or 71 Ghia vert?
-
It is based on a VW, but it is not a kit car. These were actually produced in a factory, not in someones garage like so many other VW based cars.
NOT!!!!!
Thats a Bradley GT II and most of em were sold as kits. There was an "Electro Bradley" that was powered by batteries and a big electric motor these were factory built. The worst part of the GTII was that the windshields were not part of another car ( my GTI uses a 63 vette windshield ) they were made especially for that car so if you find a car with a missing or cracked windshield run! they don't exist..
The ghia verts would be a nice find and a great project!

Yeah, the guy that contacted me on them thought Id want the Bradley but the Ghias interest me much more. Im 1/2 serious about a group buy if enough people have interest in the other cars. Still the GTII looks very clean for the price, its just not my cup of tea.

I'd be in for the 68 Ghia but that's the one you want :wallbash:
Since we have the momentum... I'd like tho add to your thread...
i know where there are 2 fastbacks and a NOTCH! I don't have the time to deal with it but I'll tell the first to PM me where the impound lot is

Oh sure, add to my automotive ADD confusion by throwing a NOTCH into the mix
-
Just tryin to up the odds for the 68 ghia I1t
-
Theres a type 1 motor sitting backwards under the hood of the notch...thats why it looks like a radiator.
check the properties on the pic...it's hi res on picasa

In all seriousness, as much as I want it I wont be offended if someone jumps on it. I need to avoid the distraction right now. Although ever since wifey saw Bud's Ghia she has said a vert Ghia would take a close 2nd in her heart to a VW Thing which is what she really wants.

yer killin me its 3 weeks after Christmas! m-d2

OK it's jump ball....
Wheatsheaf Lane just north of Aramingo (Down the street from Jimmies) its an impound contractor. I dont know if thet're even gettable. They don't look rusty at all. They're very dusty. Garaged for a long time
I only wish... no time no space
Beet lives 10 mins from them

So we've fessed up to cheap kit cars, ghia verts, and possibly a notch. Who's holding out on that VW Thing that will make the wife happy?
I even have a fully restored 50 Studebaker I'll trade for one in like condition :)

Hmmmm this is in my driveway
(http://lh6.ggpht.com/_UAeuX9xB9Cc/SwgmZi4DofI/AAAAAAAAC_U/V1JFDwJKO_8/s640/thing%2020091114%20038.jpg)
and the Ghia vert is for my 19 year old "convertible freak" daughter
-
If you have an interest in getting that out of your driveway do keep me in mind. The wife has never stopped talking about Things since I sold our last one. The buggy temporarily appeased her but she never forgot.

Why did you have to say that... @7@
