Title: Filing Taxes
Post by: Beetleboi -Greg- on January 28, 2010, 06:44:27 pm
Why is it that when I add more than one W2 the amount of money I get back goes down... doesn't that seem backwards?
m-d Are there penalties for not filing one of the W2s?

Cause you're RICHER and need to pay more

$656 is a big difference.

$656 is not a big difference...$656 + what you made at another job is a difference... put you in a higher bracket. You owe more tax every $50.Take a look at this. http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i1040tt.pdf (http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i1040tt.pdf)
And yes the IRS will hunt you to the ends of the earth for their money. -55]

That's what I thought I did, I'll double check. It asked for my school district and my occupation.... though that was odd.

I have NJ as my primary and PA as my secondary. I couldn't imagine having to do anymore than W2 forms. I really feel for you guys with houses and kids and wives. That's gotta be really annoying.

Even accoutants do not fill things out correctly - I know that!
I do my own now.

Greg, the law is you must pay your taxes.
The law is not that YOU have to fill out any forms.
As a friend of mine has done, he gets all of his forms together, along with the correct filings, and sends em all to the IRS to have them fill it all out. Did that for years.

Also there are free places that do it for you

I do my own every year, and every year my acountant finds more I missed. P1us he advises me what to do next year to make sure it stays that way. He has paid for him self in the difference for 17 years
