Hi Marc
I tried photobucket. It will not let me copy photos! -55] I then tried Picasa. I was not crazy about using it. What is the web sight you use? Maybe I'll have better luck with it.
I have photobucket and was able to copy a photo after I downloaded it. Maybe I don't completely understand what you are trying to do..... 2CENTS
When I tried to copy a picture to photobucket, it said there was an error. I tried a couple of times, and it said the same thing.
When I got out of our web sight I'll try again.
I tried photobucket again. It says "Image upload failed. A network caused your upload to fail" m-d I don't know what they mean by that. m-d2
Ok, I thought you meant copy FROM not copy TO. I've had that happen before :wallbash:. I just tried again later and most of the time it worked P#3. Also if you are trying to upload 50 pics at once try uploading 10 at a time.
OOPS..one more thing. Check your pic format. Photobucket will accept most but not all formats. Your pic may be in the oddball fomat. The formats accepted are listed. I can't remember where the list is but you can always click help S@Sm on the site.
Rich,
The site I used in the demonstration was http://www.flickr.com/ (http://www.flickr.com/) After you upload the image you would view it, and right click, select properties and copy the address(URL). You would then paste that address in your post between the img /img (brackets are removed to show the text) When I get a chance I'll play around with photobucket and see if I run into any issues.
Cheers,
MArc
Rich I use photobucket to upload my pictures and I've never had a problem. There should be two options, copy image and copy image address. You want to copy the image address.

Unless of course, you're using a PC. @7@
Greg always seems to forget he uses a Mac
You should see me at work trying to help people with their PC's. It's shocking how much you forget after just 4 years.
LOL Mac's were made for people who do not want to know how to use a computer...

I used "FlickR". I'll see what happens when I post this.
Hi Marc
I got pictures from my PC to FlickR. When I clicked properties a box popped up with some info. I tried to highlight the address, but it would not let me copy it. ???

Do you mean it wont let you highlight it? or Copy it. If it it wont let you right click to copy, after you highlight it hold the control key (ctrl) and press the c key and that will copy

Thanks shawn. When I hit ctrl c it let me copy ans paste. Let's see what happens when I hit post

[img]http://image_url[/img
Here is how is should look. Please note that a ] goes after the last G in img. I had to take that out otherwise I got the red X too. Notice how you have ][ after the g in the first img and notice how you don't have [/ after the # 381 of your picture and you have two//.....quite a few things different....one or more of them is probably the problem....Hopes this helps...

This is what your img link looks like
{img]http://www.flickr.com/photos/vwtrike/4328098381/[/img}
That link doesn't take you to a photo. Are you right-clicking on the photo, selecting "properties" and highlighting the ADDRESS area?
.....I know what you're doing!!!!!!!!
You're not copying the whole link! BO** Don't highlight from the top down. If you left-click (once) in the ADDRESS section, then use your right arrow key it will scroll All-The-Way to the end of the address. It will end in .jpg (or gif or bmp etc) THEN right click and highlight from the end all-the-way to the beginning (http) and try that
In case the above post looks disjointed to you. I had an epiphany right in the middle of it @7@

in Flickr if you click on the photo it has a button for "all sizes" when you click on one you want, there are two options at the bottom of the page, you want number 2.
that gives you the static URL, then in the post you can add photo, then paste the link.
