Has anyone got speakers from Amazon? Is the price for a pair as shown in the ads or for one speaker? I would hate to order 2 and end up with 2pairs and pay double.

Truthfully, not really.  They are a bargain speaker with bargain sound.  It depends on your expected level of quality, they will do the job and sound better (probably) than most stock speakers.  But they are nothing special.

I love Sony xPlode speakers. There not bad & heres a set of 5x7's fo $19.00 on sale!!!!

I'd 2nd these, much better choice than the Pyles.  One of the better "mass market" deals out there.

The sony's are better...  I picked up some Boston Acoustics S55's for $49.00 a pair including shipping from amazon...

You might be able to get them sony's at Wal-Mart. They sell mostly Sony products.

I need round ones no bigger then 6" and about 1-1/2" deep. I found some 3 thingee Kennwoods for about $50 at Best buy.

I use www.onlinecarstereo.com (http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/c_15_Full_Range_Car_Speakers.aspx) as a way to search a specific size. They usually have good prices to boot.
