I have a 74 Karmann Ghia for sale. I recently purchased the car but found a great deal on something else. Since I can use the cash this just might be an opportunity for a member or member referral.
About the car... It's a 74 Coupe, produced in late 8 or 10/73 I forget off the top of my head. It's complete and mostly original and intact AND running. After looking for a while I found the car literally around the corner (I pushed it home). The woman I bought it from was getting divorced and it had been sitting in a carport for about a year because of a fuel leak. (It was disconnected! I fixed it with all new metal & oem fabric lines/clamps, fuel filter). The car has about 106k miles per the clear NJ title and what history the owner gave me. She owned it for about 3 or 4 years, since 2006, and bought it from a guy in Virginia Beach. The PO changed the dash, removing the dash cover and installing a complete set of VDO gauges like a race car, speedo, tach, oil, temp, fuel. It also has an aftermarket 4 spoke steering wheel with oem VW logo for horn button (has original horns, but not connected). The PO blacked out the bumpers and trim and put in seats from a late model unknown japanese car. Other than that it looks to me to be original. I have had the car running and able to drive it down the street and into my back yard for the winter, so it drives too. (Brakes need? No fluid in resvoir tank) It also has a SCAT Drag Fast shifter. The floors are complete and in good shape and repairable if you choose, they DO NOT NEED TO BE REPLACED, to save some $$. They do have a few holes, but they aren't real big and I planned on patching and Por 15. This is why I bought the car AND the nose looks pretty clean without any prior damage (RARE). It has a couple of dents the pass front fender by the headlight, driver rear quarter under the rear window and a typical rust on the lower edge of the engine lid, though not through and the pass bottom rear qtr needs replacement. I'm no body guy, but that's what I see other than a few rust bubbles hear and there. It also has BRAND NEW 185/65/15 GOODYEAR TIRES ON NICE RIVIERA RIMS $$$$. I bought a set of OEM Stock Seats to replace the Jap ones, and some other trim, etc. The car needs typical replacement of window seals etc., Oh and it has the nice rear pop out windows. This is a pretty special car that can be made to drive easily and restore as you go. It's the perfect solution for low cost purchase , use and opportunity. I've tried to be as up front as possible, and tell you whatever I know about the car and describe it truthfully. Let me know any interest or offers. I'm in the Princeton/Trenton area. I tried to add some pics here, but it's only like my 2nd post ever. Email me if not and i can send what I have if seriously interested. In respect for your time and mine, please only serious enthusiast offers. Thanks (http://Thanks

Shawn did you get the pics I emailed? I checked the ad and didn't see them or let me know how to post and I'll do it. I'm going to be placing ads on Ebay and Craigslist to sell, but wanted to give the club members first chance. Thx. Tom
