Title: The ocod swap meet and parts
Post by: VWPANZER1 on February 13, 2011, 01:59:48 PM
The  O.C.O.D. Literature/Toy/Swapmeet that was held this Sunday (on the 13), was for its size, was really very good!  2@@cool

There was a guy who was selling parts for one dollar and a box of free parts. I must have picked at least 10 parts, including the adaptor I was looking for, new set of plug wires, new chrome distributor hold down, Sanding block, etc etc.

The back yard had scads of VW's for picking.

Inside was a lot of vintage stuff.

You could watch Roman swap VW engine parts.

It's was a little disappointing that Romon, Jack and I were the only SJVWC members present, considering it was just a little over a 1/2 hr drive from Washington Township.

Sorry, we didn't stay for the beer.   whistleegi

I have some pics of a greasy Ramone in the middle of the engine re-install.  How do I get them from my iPhone to here?  Q3surrender.gif

We got the center table for the bus and hung out with some cool guys.  Heard some good stories.  They made burgers and dogs and had lots of snacks to munch on.  There were so many toys I wanted to buy!! We also walked around the property and Yucel dreamed of buying more buses to park in our yard.

It was a cool swap meet!   clap2-*

Thank u guys for coming out to the GTG.  &^beer&  We had 7 cases of different beers, lots of new faces and goodies  :jump4jo":  Mike, the owner of the 63 bug had a huge smile when he heard the car crank up.
The day started out with eng removal and getting the exhaust ready for install, only to find that the unit had a split so we had to scramble and find a muffler or a header extractor..  }dunn--   George and Mike went over to SW Philly to get a Monza 4-tip Muffler from Georges' stash! When they came back we installed the engine and then put the muffler. made sure everything was connected and clutch was set. Went to fire it up with no luck, added some gas to the carb, vvvvrrroooooooommmm!!!!!   &^beer&  Houston, we've got contact!!!  &^beer&  At 2pm the car was off the stands and area was being cleaned! 3pm we were outta there!!! Drove behind him to take the motor to his house and i could't keep up, he was haulin' with the 1600cc!!! &^rofl
