What a day! Everyone was crying wolf with the rain. Well, the weather turned out beautiful! warm and partly sunny! The best part was the Finals in the Quick 8 race between a golf and a Bug. The golf won the race but the bug won the highpoint of the event with a rear wheel bounce on a spectacular wheelie stand in the finals! i had to post this video **^bana0 **^bana0 **^bana0 **^bana0

that was awesome. i need to get my butt in gear and get the shorty out and show them how us bus owners get down.

Turned out to be a very nice day for the show. I never liked paying $25 to get in but I do it to see the show, swap meet and Camaraderie. There was a LOT of good stuff there this year for air cooled parts pickers.
Now, $30 to have your car judged, Gezzzz!!! that extra $5 was my braking point. If I go again I'll just do the $20 to walk around.
I don't know if it was this way before because I never did it but you have to pay for each person in the car. Gezz, gezz!
Next year Englishtown off my list.

Nice day. Us latecomers included frank, Jay, and Martin.
Yep, that 20 was even unexpected. Oh well

They Charged a couple to show one bug $50 to get in. Is that the going rate for a VW Show this year?
I had a good time for the $30 I Spent. I found most of the used parts I needed. Thanks to shawn for transporting them back for me.
Jack, When can we get a trailer like Central Jersey? Will ours say UHAUL on it?

We have mugs. They don't. Nuff said :)

i really like this show, but if its 30 to show in the fall.. Hell no i aint going! Even 30 to swap was steep.

Gas n tolls. Fifty buck day :)

I taped Mac for $60 got $20 gas had a breakfast sandwich. went home with one free part and $2. -eyescan.=

Yeah, I bought nothing & it was a $60 day. And the one thing I did want to buy was a $1 sticker but they would not wait on me as others were buying bigger ticket items. :confused04:;

I was shocked by the $30/swap deal! never knowing that the spectators paid 20 until this guy i saw biatchin that the flyer had $15/spect, at the gate the guy told him if he wants to go in he has to pay the $20, he was pissed all day but still paid because he needed some parts. I personally felt the swap had too much of the same parts and we had to sell for nothing in order to break even with entry, tolls, GAS.If the prices are the same for Oct, i'm turning around and heading somewhere else or back to Philly and crash someones BBQ party!.. I got back with almost the same load i took! &(rage_ I'm gonna stick to shows and enjoy the summer! **^bana0

Good choice.
Thats a lot of work loading up then having to take it all back home.
-
alot of bitching going on at the samba about the show prices.
-
I agree with you guys, as nice as the show was, $30 is just too much for me to accept. I will be sticking to local shows and cruises. I alwats though you should get a small discount for showing, with out us showing our cars you wouldn't have a show!!! just my 2@cent
On a more positive note, my buddy who has an Audi S4 ran a 13.9 in the quarter!!! I also picked up 1st in my class, and two other members picked up wins as well...

Cool to win, but worth $30, no way.

Congrats Mark, Martin and Bob!!!! **^bana0

This Sunday instead of Englishtown, I went to a Motorcycle swap meet and show, $5. Well worth it.
Last Fall at Englishtown when they said it was $20 just to get in, I told them this is my last time here. @#vomit
Harley Davidson events started out at $5 then progressed to $20. That was the last time I went to one of those events.
Everyone has a price breaking point. If it included food I may reconsider. eat.gi+]
