Title: Upcoming Events/Shows & Discussion of Upcoming Events / Shows

We have two forums for Events & Shows, one being the posting of Upcoming Events and Shows
and the second being the "Discussions of upcoming Events and Shows".

The thought behind having the two separate was to keep the "Upcoming Events/Shows"  clean and  uncluttered.

Having to go to another forum to see what members are saying about a show is cumbersome as to having the post as part of the Event/Shows post

So my question is, should we combine the two so the discussion is part of the original event post or keep it the way it is.

I vote for ONE forum per event.
But I must point out that it was done to keep the original post from getting lost.

Hijacking isn't a problem here though whistleegi

Just my  2@cent. Keep it the way it is. Otherwise the original event posting gets lost in members comments.   whistleegi

couldn't we just put a link on the main show thread to the discussion thread?

The original reason for the seperation was because the person who is in charge of updating the calendar needs to be the first person to start the thread. This way when a new member or an outsider clicks the link they dont have to go through three pages of "when is this happening? How come no one posted this yet? Are you going? Who's bringing marshmellows?" type of crap instead of just getting the facts.

Agreed, having to route through a discussion to find event info is a PIA, IMHO. 

Maybe change the names?
